OPSEC

OPSEC = Operational Security

When talking about things related to the military, you have to watch your words! That means:

  • No specific dates
  • No specific locations
  • No pictures taken in Afganhistan

If I don’t watch what I say, I’d be putting Stephen and those deployed with him at risk. Do I think that the Taliban is reading my blog? Ha! (Excuse me while I clean up the computer. I just snorted all over it.) No. But am I going to take any risks? Absolutely not! Besides, I’ve heard stories about guys being delayed in their return from deployment because someone posted something too specific online. I definitely don’t want that to happen!

So if you are wondering why I am vague at times, that’s why! And if you think I’ve said something I shouldn’t have, please tell me!
